Default 2015 Annual Rideout Winner.

I'm pleased to announce that the winner of this years AR is Daddyjob and the GM proposal.

We actually had two proposals this year, the one above another from Matt-EUC. I'd like to thank both of them for putting their hands up to do this but sadly we can only have one winner.

So good luck to Daddyjob and crew and I wish them luck and some good weather.

Here are the details.

Quote:
Proposed Date: July 18-19th 2015
Base Location:The Bruce Arms, Pewsey

http://www.thebrucearms.net/index.htm

  • Basic camping field in grounds of a country pub for the Friday and Saturday nights
  • Hard standing motorcycle parking
  • Separate road-side hard standing marshalling area
  • Onsite Pub with restaurant.
  • No neighbours apart from Pub, so able to make moderate noise
  • Excellent local roads which are well travelled by the GM ride-out attendees
  • Varied route taking in various roads from fast swoopers to hard-core nadgery
  • Run leadership from experienced GM run leaders
  • Marking support from riders with local knowledge
  • Thick skinned organisers who will have no problem at all in ignoring unwelcome input.

Costs

The only costs attendees are expected to cover (other than their own travel) is the fee for the campsite;

£5 per person/per night. for camping & vans (normal vans-for caravans and sleeper vans please see below)

£12 per Campervan, sleeper van & Caravan
+ £4 per night for electric hook up

The fee is to be paid direct to the Pub upon arrival, please confirm your name on the list and signoff.

We will also be collecting donations for the Sv650.Org & a yet to be chosen charity.

Food

-The Pub serves food as per the times on the website.
-In Pewsey there are a few shops (Spar, Newsagents and a Co-op mini super market) from which you can buy any food, drink, alcohol, etc from.

Its a fair jaunt but I'm already looking into fun ways of getting down if I do come... I think it may be a two day trip.

It would be great if you could make it! If you need a hand finding some twisty roads to make it more bearable, let us know. Our knowledge of lands near and far should come in fairly useful

Just had a quick look on Google and there are several hotels and b&bs nearby. Might be able to persuade Lady Poppy to come along and make a long weekend of it - we both love Avebury which is close by and Wadworth supply plenty of the hostelries in the area.

Nice one Jobmeister.

Sir Trev,

This week I will be posting up a hotel/B&B thread to give people an idea of what's in the area to stay at. Please send me any places that you think look good and i'll be sure to include them.
