Bhp Question
Is the Bhp figure quoted in the mags for theSV from the crank or the back wheel?
Reason being Renegade claim 80 Bhp from a pointy SV when fitted with a renegade can and air kit, their dyno chart shows power from the crank. Kash |

Manufacturer's figures are almost always at the crank, on a cold day, with a generous dyno Bike mags tend to just repost the same info, though some do dyno the machines- they'd usually say what they're measuring.

Despite the bulls**t power figures that you tend to be shown the 72 hp (SAE) figure for the MiniTwins is actually quite hard to break, i.e. themajority of bikes don't get over that figure despite having a full system, race filter, etc., etc.
In it's current form I reckon I could probably get somewhere between 74 hp and 76 hp if I tried really hard. It already has K3 cams in it, a dynojet kit and a BMC Race RS filter. |

Was always wondering about this, a bloke I know put an akrpovic full exhaust system on his K4 which apparently adds around 4-6 extra bhp.
I've got a viper which is supposed to add a bit extra power at the top end but dont know if this is true or not |
