Default Dropped it :-(

My driveway has been lifted to make way for building works, meaning a big step up into the garage which I have to bump the bike up backwards to get it in

Tonight I've bloody dropped it! Back wheel up, pulled the front up, lost my own balance and over we both went.

Smashed indicator and scratches to mirrors, bar ends and silencer!!

I'm really sorry Colin. I know the feelin and it aint good but it will go away eventually. The important thing is you are okay? You didn't hurt yourself did you?

Yes, I'm fine thanks. Managed to leap over the bike in a desperate bid not to land on it and cause more damage!

The scratches are only minor and a trip to a Suzuki dealer and 1/2 hours work will have the indicator replaced.

Thats good you're okay..and your bike will be too in no time at all. Yeah I think its a pretty natural reaction to dive away from the bike.. I did the same. I've been meaning to get the minor scratches on my bike looked at for a while now... Hope to catch up with BigAl one day soon actually. :P

Bummer Colin .

However- finding a bright side...... a good excuse to buy a new can.... and the bike will sound (as well as look) soooo much better.

Cheers,

Garry

Sorry to hear this, maybe it would be a good idea to put something at the step. like a board so you can ride/role it in?

Bad luck but thankfully you're ok!

I might have my old can kicking about somewhere.

Oops!!
Glad to hear your ok colin, next time try to get your body between the bike and the ground, you'll heal

I've got polishing paste and an electric buffer thingy if the paintworks marked.

If you just let the exhaust get dirty you'll never see the marks.
