Whereabouts did you cut the original tail tidy? And am i right in thinking you used existing holes? If so which ones did you use?

(sorry, could not find any other decent picture)

I masked original holes with reflector and drilled new ones to attach whole thing to the number plate

They still keep turning out the SV - year after year. How long will this continue? The old V-Strom was updated but the same SV motor lives on. Maybe an upgrade like ABS? What about a new colour or fully faired version. Maybe they will just call it a day and put out a faired Gladius with clip-ons (I won't buy one). I'd buy another SV but not if it did not change a bit now I think - my 2013 is identical (including colour) to my 2011 bike.

Spiffing! Cheers for that, i'll dig my original tail shovel out and get in sorted. Next question is - pyramid or skidmarx hugger?
