Default Swap ZX6 for an RSV?

Hi,

Can't really decide what to do, should I trade in my zx6 b1h for an 04 rsvr (new shape)?

Dunno, what do YOU think.

Good bike to change to if you fancy it.

I had an 04 new shape before the SV. Beware if it an early 04 as there are loads of niggles that need sorting out. The odometer resets everytime the battery is taken out. Connectors need hard wiring out as they melt. I bought mine in 2008 and all this still needed sorted.

Mental fast bike though.

On paper the RSV is great, in real life it's very disappointing.

I wanted to like it, but just couldn't. I certainly wouldn't swap modern 600 like yours for one.

80 miles per tank when given beans-----can be very thirsty when riden hard and unfortunately it is the type of bike that encourages you to do this.
Probably an unfair comment as most large c.c.v-twins like a drop of slurp when pushed.

Mine had a Renegade carbon air filter, power commander and Akropovic race exhaust, and I was lucky to get 60 miles to a tank when hammering it.

But jesus hammering it was fun. It power wheelied in 3rd gear. Bloke I sold it to got rid after 3 months as he said it scared in to death.

Speak to Gecco,he has had two and is aware of any problems that may occur but I will admit it is a lovely looking bike.
