Default Ever heard of this?

Quick question....Has any one ever heard of having steel braided FUEL hoses?

If so what difference does it make?

It's simply the pressure rating. For typical carb applications the fuel pressure is a few psi (0.2 Bar say), for most injection systems it'll be a few Bar (typ. 3Bar).

The different types of hose are well demonstrated here

Yes heard of them, on the SV they make no difference, they do hold more heat than a nylon line, which can affect things if you're building a nitrous system, but I'm guessing you're not.

SV runs very little fuel pressure so you don't need them, if you were using a blow through turbo or something else needing silly fuel pressures then you might want some.

All that said... they look blingy

I work for a hydraulic hose company and they make no differance what so ever. Unless you are using them on a high pressure injection system e.g wagon/car, even then they flex with the pressure and can give massive fueling problems, hence why we replace all injection lines with steel pipe.

I think it must purely be for looks. Cause everyone likes a bit of bling

One minor advantage is resistance to chafing, but you'd need to have excessive length or movement to cause that on a bike.
