He'd sorted it, it was just a little cable tension was required. You know how indexing can be if its not quite right.

He solved it himself, so the young Jedi is learning quickly

Ah , good to hear.

He'll have the know how to tweak it if it stretches in the first few weeks from new too.

There's lots of twiddly bits on this bike...

Desperate to get out on it but it's staying clean, besides the streets around my house are sheet ice you can hardly walk never-ending cycle. Wattbike tomorrow it is then.

first ride on the road and the wheels feel quick and nimble. Front end was a little twitchy but that could be the current setup. The red did make the bike go 0.5mph on average faster .

The wheels arent as true as I'd expect from a new set so needs a little tweak. Conclusions are they are fun to ride, look shiney, not that harsh on the road.

Well I promised Maviczap a review of the Sensa Giulia Ultegra after the today's first ride.

The bike is a big step up from the Triban. I'm very pleased with it, Its a far more aggressive in its riding position, I put the two bikes together and the bars are about 6 cm lower and the frame is slightly smaller too but I'm far from cramped, I find it more comfortable in a way. I don't feel quite to stretched out and when I'm standing it feels miles better. Starting to wonder if the Triban is slightly to big.

The bike is or will be a whole lot quicker than the Triban once I get used to the 50/34 gearing (in a way I missed the granny 30 front on the climb up the steeper parts of the Tak-Ma-Doon Road)

The bar tape will probably be changed as its a little thin but the bike isn't as harsh I was lead to believe from the 'expert' reviews.

The biggest difference I noticed instantly was the brakes, they actually work and work in a big way I pulled a lovely stoppie when the Sora brakes would have just gradually slowed me down.

She has been washed and put back into storage until the better weather comes round, I won't use her again until I can wear the Louis Garneau shoes without freezing my feet off.

Both photos are taken from the Top of the Tak-Ma-Doon, the view was stunningly clear today, I could see the Fourth Bridge clearly one way and Goatfell on Arran in the other direction (couldn't get a picture of Arran due to low sun)

With this review I'd also like to thank everyone I have quizzed and pestered about their bikes, it might not feel like it but everything has helped me immensely and helped me make the choice of this bike.

Looks awesome, glad you are happy with it!

I wanted to get out today so bad, but couldn't get off work early! Weather looks pretty poor from now on as well.

Cool

Yep, the Triban might be too big, but it could also be that the Triban has a longer headtube, for a more relaxed riding position.

Perhaps I'll get a bit of peace and quiet now

But I hope not
