Either i'm going mad or I have just seen a little dog with shoes on
Anyone else seen this or should I check myself into a mental institute? |

Re: Animal shoes
You can buy dog bootees, sad idea but it can be done. It would have to have originated from America, bringing there daft ideas over here. The only time a dog should wear a boot is if it needs to keep it clean after an injury.

Re: Animal shoes
They gave the search and rescue dogs at 9/11 shoes to protect there feet from shards of steel etc, think it might have started from thereabouts.

Re: Animal shoes
It's sad. Dogs are designed to put up with cold without clothing, it's what dogs do.
As soon as you dress a dog in human type clothes it confuses the poor thing and it gets a complex that can lead to mental problems. I had seen an article about this online and pointed it out to my middle daughter, who at the time was dressing her dog up in chavvy Bench jackets and similar stuff. She soon stopped once she'd read the article. |

Re: Animal shoes
One of my dogs near enough has alopecia, so when it is particularly cold he does wear a jacket and some boots.
