Washer? There's a plate, for want of a better word, on the bottom of the adjuster that pushes down on the spacer inside the fork, if that's what you're refering to?

I'm not very good at describing this sort of thing, I can take a picture when I get home if I've made no sense.

Like a round flat plate to go in between the preload adjuster and the spacer.

I'm glad I found this. (sorry noob question time)

Am I right in assuming from what you've said that a standard curvey does not have these.

Mine has, so I'm happy. I thought the front was a little soft. Looks like it justs needs a little adjustment (with care)

I'm not 100% sure on this but the preload adjusters from the Pointy model very possibly will not fit a Curvy model .
