Re: Tinted visors illegal - why?
A roll is cheap so you could rip it off when it's dark

Re: Tinted visors illegal - why?
Can never understand why we can't have reactalight[?] visors like eye glasses, what is the problem, price? I am sure people would be prepared to pay a little extra for the best of both worlds in one visor rather than the combined price of buying two.

Re: Tinted visors illegal - why?
I used to have one in my HJC, it wasn't pinlock (FogCity HyperOptik) but did have cutouts like a pinlock, think I got it from HG.
Pinlock are doing a Protec-TNT visor insert now, but they're not cheap (£45) Last edited by Nobbylad; 29-03-12 at 12:47 PM. |

Unless you are spending serious money, they are crap but even then, reaction times are really slow. Polarized lenses are the way to go for tints |

Re: Tinted visors illegal - why?
My glasses react under the visor so the problem does not exist for me----i can wear a clear pinlock all the time

Re: Tinted visors illegal - why?
I've used a black visor (very dark) for the last two years, never been stopped by the police.
But if I know I'll be out when it's dark, or raining the I'll use the clear one. (Apart from the one time I went to the Ace Cafe, and forgot to use the clear one. I had to swap Helmets with my pillion.) |
