Default OMO .E Rearders Kindle

What's the best way to do the book thing.
We have 3 tablets but is a Kindle the way to go? Battery life and easier on the eyes is the important thing

I own a Kindle Fire HD7 as well as a Kindle 4 (non touch) The K4 is lightweight and can hold a decent amount of books, but it is purely an e-reader ( it has an experimental browser bit is painfully slow). If you read at night then I would suggest a Paperwhite as it has a backlight. The battery life is well over a week depending on how much you read/use the backlight. The Fire is pretty good for a tablet but very tied in to Amazon. Reading books on it is not too bad, heavier than a e-paper Kindle but has a lit screen and you can turn the screen black and text white if reading at night.

I've also got 3 tablets, but battery life is always a problem

Paperwhite would be a good choice. I don't know what them Kobo ereaders are like as an alternative?

As far as reading on a tablet the kindle paperwhite is great, clear screen, no glare so you can read at any angle, backlight is great so not too bright and not too dim, it's light weight so works best as it's a dedicated e-reader only. Never seen a Kobo so can't compare. The Kindle is my girlfriends however as I still prefer physical books, although I can see the appeal of the Kindle.

I too like physical books, but when I'm in the mood I can devour paperbacks like there's no tomorrow.

Its a problem if I'm on holiday, so I've grown to appreciate ebooks. I can take loads with me or download a new one over wifi.

I've also realised I cannot keep holding onto books, I've not enough space.

So books I don't want to keep I'll buy the electronic ones.

It's only for books.
So Sarah can use it for her night and afternoon reading.

I've had a basic kindle for 4 years now and wouldn't be without it. I have over 500 books on there, many of which were free or under a couple of quid.

My best move recently though, was signing up to Kindle Unlimited. For £7.99 a month I can read books for free. You can 'borrow' up to ten books at a time, and once read, just remove them. I'm just working through a 17 volume Fantasy series that would have cost me over £40 to buy.
