Default replacement rear shock?

i'm sure this has been discussed on here somewhere, but i'm preparing my sv650s to go racing with in the minitwins with bemsee..

forks are off being sorted, bike is stripped ready for reassembly so i'm getting there..

however the rear shock looks past it's best.. what shocks can slot in, anyone with any clue regarding spring rates etc?

cheers
m6

any replacement rear shock is fine providing it uses the original mounts

Ile take a guess here, its a curvey.

Loki here: http://forums.sv650.org/viewtopic.php?p=325606#325606
Not all are possable on the curvey though as its just a spring length and rate list.

These will fit a curvey though.
03-04 ZX10R
03-04 ZX6RR(636)
A couple of SRAD shocks, but they are way older and usaly much more millage that the ZX shocks above. They all need a little cutting though. The ZX shocks seem to come nearest to the original spring rate of the SV shock and length.

I got a never used ZX6RR shock at home not doing anything if you'd be interested. By all accounts it was taken off a bike destined for the track straight out the crate so is pretty much fresh as a daisy.

If your interested PM me. I would point out though that there was a hlins shock on ebay that may be of some use. IIRC it is a base model one and not the all singing all dancing one but never the less still ohlins and fully rebuildable
