Power commander?
Hi,
If I run a power commander on stock settings would it make any difference if I removed the PC altogether. |

Re: Power commander?
Alledgedly yes.
Bikes are set up to pass emissions and noise. From what I understand at certain revs power/fueling dips to allow for bikes to pass these EU tests. If you look at the power delivery on my bike it dips twice. Apparently a PC will get rid of these dips and provide a better smoother delivery of power, even on a stock bike.

Re: Power commander?
not sure I understand the question. What are Power Commander 'stock settings' ? The point of fitting one would be to then use it to alter the fuel injection settings through the rev range, if you were to fit it and leave everything as zero (think of it like a graphic equaliser with all settings set to zero) then there's really no point in it being there at all and it can be removed.
If your bike has non-standard setup (replacement exhaust sytem etc) then sell the PC and have the stock ECU re-mapped at Steve Jordans. edit, just read your signature and noticed its not a Suzi. Last edited by flymo; 06-07-10 at 09:08 PM. |

Re: Power commander?
Power Commander is not a ECU, its an adjustment box, as flymo said if everything on the PC software is set to 0 its the same as it not making and changes to the fueling.
