Default Need tools - help

Sorry to trouble you SV folk but as a fellow SV owner experience shows you are one friendly and helpful bunch of folk and like me there are a number on here that have Triumphs like me too!

I need a 46mm socket for the rear wheel nut of my Daytona but I've searched high and low (it seems) but can't find anyone that stocks them.

Any ideas anyone?

Although you'll probably find they are all 3/4" drive, I use a old 1/2" socket and grind it down square, then press fit it into the 3/4" hole.

Cheers Mark.

Got one from Halfords for the rear wheel nut on my 748 (46mm).. they stock an imperial impact socket thats close enough.. an it's 1/2" drive, can't remember the exact size though.. biggest one they had on the shelf

Thanks Cuffy - managed to get one from UK tools via ebay. Have been searching for months. I see suicide got one from Halfords but they hadn't got a clue when I tried (on more than one occasion). It seems my mistake was just looking for 1/2" drives, there are loads of 3/4" but then I'm no mechy.

Thanks for the thought and effort though much appreciated.

Thanks all for responses.
