Default Is this the right time to sell?

The reason I ask is that I may have spotted a bike project that interests me. Its a cool looking thing with some extra meat on the bone, but yeah its not like I have the space or the time for another project, however it got me thinking...

Normally what I'm looking at is within budget and acceptable travelling range, but these aren't normal times, we're supposed to be keeping our distance, limiting contact and such and if I'm to continue to do that how would I do the deal?

I had a couple of things listed on eBay that I took down simply because I no longer have access to a printer to generate the labels. I know delivery services are still running but a project bike isn't something you can easily stick in an envelope.

So with all that in mind and with everything happening, is this the right time to sell?

Many dealerships are selling with "contactless delivery". Not sure how that works or how that becomes an essential journey though? I have something I sold on eBay that needs sending. I'm guessing Hermes are still delivering? I'll have to send it during a journey to the shops for food to make it legit?

Yeah I have a Hermes delivery on the way as far as I know they are still running as well as click and collect as I picked something up from Argos in Sainsburys last week that was ordered before the lockdown but arrived after. However I'm thinking more of private sellers, if you had a bike that you want to find a new home for is it still possible in the current climate?

I can't imagine that authorities would think a journey to look at a bike would be essential. I guess if the buyer was someone who needed it for essential transport to get them to a keyworker job then it would be? I think your chances of selling are hugely reduced right now anyway.

I think you have to ask yourself if it's really, really essential to actually go about selling right now, or could it wait a while...

unless the buyer/seller are local, it's probably something to wait on in the current climate.

In a few weeks if income dries up then it might become essential to start selling off all my possessions.

I hope it doesn't get that drastic for you

Logistics aside (although they do count for it). With less money floating around* I'd say it's a buyer's market.
* maybe that's not hit yet, so maybe I should say with more uncertainty.
