I'm iPhone all the way, have often said "I can never imagine not owning an iphone" but the SIII is tempting.
This is because I do like my stuff to be compatible and now my laptops on its last legs (toshiba) im in the market for a new one but paying 4x the market equivalent for a macbook seems nuts. Furthered by my studies now been over means Im not so sure I need a full lap top, I'll only use it for browsing and connecting so I've been tempted to get a tablet. Meaning the ipad (compatible remember) but his poses a similar problem in that I cannot justify the cost.
Now Samsung have the NOTE which I've had a play with and tbh I cannot see a difference between that and the ipad so Im swung in favour of the cheaper NOTE. That would mean my next phone would be pushed towards the SIII, I've had a fettle and its a very nice phone.
That means Apple IMO HAVE TO GET THE iPhone 5 perfect!
If the i5 comes out and its everything apple say it should be then congratulations Apple I'll buy an iPad and you retain my custom, however if they get it wrong and I'm not happy then bye bye Apple, hello Samsung... and I bet they know I wont be the only one thinking it.

i have an s3 and chuffing love it i was totally a apple fan boy until the 4/s was exactly the same and it just seemed old hat !

I have an S2 and absolutely love that. Added to which the new Iphone 5 is supposed to have a different connector to every other Apple product all accessories you have will be useless unless you buy the adapter from Apple making said accessories more bulky I should imagine. I have several friends looking to ditch Apple, my sister is even trying to get out of her contract to get a Galaxy.

I do like reading about Apple and Samsung's squabbles on the new makes me chuckle.

And remember 40% of parts in the Iphone are made by Samsung!
