other side looks brand new, not a scratch. forks looked straight and both stops on the yokes were still straight so should be ok. even the chievers are in one piece but scuffed.
mirrors are a goner, screen is broken, front cowl is demolished, as is lower fairing. rear set is bent but gear change is just missing the peg and circlip. haven't tried starting it as wanted to make sure oil is drained down. i have been thinking of turning the bike naked for ages so in true biker tradition i'm going to 'streetfighter' it.. well turn it naked.. lol i'm in two minds about putting it through insurance. they will right it off and i will buy back as i dont mind if its a cat d as i'll probably never sell it. but it might increase my insurance premium so in two minds. |

If you're keeping it I wouldn't bother with insurance. Although if your helmet and gear is trashed that could change things.
Lucky you are all prepped to make it in to a naked then! |

dont thnk i have helmet and leathers cover and if i have then i dont have receipts. trousers have a hole in one knee, jacket has hole in bottom side at small zip. easy repairs. my nice new gloves have hole in knuckle guard. the gloves are good as i only have a bruise on my scaphoid.
helmet will be toast but was thinking of getting a new one anyway and i still have that gt-air i can use. |
