Looks good, I'm sure you'll get the bug and do it again in the future.

I have those exact forks on my SV1000....word of warning, they're like ROCK. Contemplate getting them revalved if you're planning on this being a keeper. The offset and fork length have drastically changed the geometry as well so it'll turn in almost unbelievably quickly. Keep this in mind when taking it out for your first spin!

Dang that Looks sweet. Those forks seat cowel and that belly pan do so much for that bike. The 2 mils on the front rotors were bothering me so Fabbed up some 1.5 spacers for each side, It probably wasnt necessary but I like the rotor being dead center of the calipers.

Yep I've already started planing my next build. I also plan on taking an MSF course since I haven't ridden since 96.

Yeah it's gorgeous isn't it! I've fettled with the suspension and got it about as rideable as it can be (pretty much had to soften everything to the max!) but I'm definitely going to get the forks legthened while having it revalved etc. The offset on the K3/K4 1000 forks is the same as the SV1000S (30mm) so it'll correct it while giving it a slightly faster turn in than the stock N model.

Im really starting to feel the itch now. Motor's in. It had good compression. 212 on the rear and 207 on the front. Think the manual said 213 156 limit.

On to carbs. Water pump is on the way. Mine was damaged during shipping.

Alright so I think this is pretty cool.

The clutch cover is plastic and cracked so I ordered another on which is slightly warped. My next option was 100 dollars for a fancy one. Sorry but thats not in the budget.

So I ordered a gen 2 to try out, which is one piece and aluminum, not plastic. Fits perfect. Gasket fits and just got its first oil change and filter.

Didnt care for the silver so of course its cerakoted now.

Next up clutch rod, and seal, carbs

The carbs are synced the exhaust is on, it's running a little rich. All that's left is a drive chain and its done. Taking MSF course next week. Got all my gear ready.

Thanks... I've tinkered a little with uploading a video and I'm not too savy with it so I gave up. Feel free to share easy ideas on sharing maybe 10 secs or so of video.

It was running on one cylander for about 2 to 3 minutes. The rear didnt fire. But before I could trouble shoot it, there was a small backfire and both cylinders started. It's been running good since I synced the carbs.
