Smile Rep Job Vacancy (Biking related) - South England

(Mods - hope this Ok to post? Any probs, please just let me know.)

Ok, so we're looking for a rep to cover the Southern part of England (ie loosely everything south of Birmingham / Peterborough / Kings Lynn etc).
This is very much a biking industry-related job, and with a team I personally have been working with since Spring-time last year.

Because we're so close to launch, I'm a bit hamstrung as to what I can reveal about it on an open forum yet, so please send any (serious!) enquiries to the email address below:

jobs@motogoloco.com

Web - www.motogoloco.com

--- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- ---

We are looking for a highly motivated and passionate motorcyclist. He/she must be able to communicate exceptionally well. Sales experience would be an advantage but not essential as integrity and communication skills will be more important and training will be provided.

The position is very much road based and the candidate must be willing to be out on the road at least 3 or 4 days a week (with longer stints on occasions).

Being able to think on their feet, being able to express themselves, being able to exhibit their passion for motorcycling and being able to portray / demonstrate professionalism will be absolute key to the success of securing this position.

Own transport will be necessary - specifically a motorcycle in good working order. A car can be used if available as an alternative means of transport (in extreme or bad weather conditions) - however mileage will be paid at motorcycle rates which will be adequate. Use of the motorcycle will be encouraged as being necessary to the fulfilment of the sales role.

It will be necessary that the candidate during the working period is of (reasonably) sober habits as this will also be important to the fulfilment of the sales role as we will be selling motorcycling as a lifestyle and need to portray the motorcyclist of today as good for business.

The candidate needs to be a confident solo operator that can work alone and also as part of a dynamic results driven team with a big vision.

We can not repeat this enough - Passion for riding. Strong communication skills. Thinking on your feet. Having an agreeable personality. Being out going. Able to work solo and also be a part of a team.

Oh and did I mention - Got to love riding !!!!!!

If you are interested why not send us a small description of yourself, along with a short honest CV and perhaps a line or two on why this advert interests you.

Send this along to: jobs@motogoloco.com

--- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- ---

Cheers,
James

It does indeed sound interesting, and I'm probably well placed for it. However, anyone who knows me will know I fall very short of the 'reliable bike' criteria, unless of course I get free oil.

I think there are a few other bits you don't quite hit the mark for either Si...

'integrity'

'communication skills'

'demonstrate professionalism'

'sober'

Can you give a little more about the job? Most notably, what would you be selling exactly. (other things like salary I can see you might not want to put in a public forum). Is there an amount of motorbike experience you would expect?

Does it ask for initiative?
If so, try goggling " motogoloco "
If not, - ditto -

I did that when the thread went up but that still didn't clear things up. I got motorcycle tour holidays. I don't understand how you sell motorcycle lifestyle to someone wanting to go on a motorcycle tour holiday.
