Excuse the rough photo, but I really like the viewfinder and display of the Program A. The LCD is bright and clear.

I can't get it to go on; the filter ring threads on the lens are chewed so it will only go in half a turn or so, which looks weird and then the skylight won't fit. I might have to make do without it.

That's a shame, not sure what you could do about that. Maybe carefully clean it up with a nail file or is the lens the issue? Scrap that, just read your post again.

I might be able to file the ring down and push it in. Maybe try that later but it sure won't mate with the lens. Shame really but I'll keep it anyway. Yet another rainy day project.

The Program A looks just like the Super Program, I'm not sure there is much difference. The Vivitar close focus 28mm is supposed to be a great lens. I've nearly finished the film in my Kiev 3, still got 3 left in the Ensign 6x9, took a few of my daughter on the swing in the garden, it's turning into a regular thing, which started back here in 2015:

so I tried out 1/1250, 1/500 and 1/250 speeds, I can only presume they all work! Will have two 35mm films to send soon, want to finish the 120 but this time of year isn't very photogenic, it's all brown.

Got my 35-70mm Zuiko lens today. The issue with the focus ring was easy to sort, a screw had come loose under the rubber bit closet to the mount. The not so easy bit was the fungus on all elements of the lenses. Thankfully Olympus glass is fairly modular so I was able to disassemble the whole thing and clean it up. There are a few specs of dust but I can live with that. The hard bit was sorting out the stop down button which was fell out when I took the mount off but all well and good now. Not bad for £12.99! Just noticed that you scored the f3.5 version whereas mine is the f4.

Well done for fixing that. I've only played with primes so far. Not got round to the complexities of a zoom.
Just been checking the lens details. Mine's a 3.5-4.5 - less light at the top end of the zoom range.

The Program A apparently is a cut down version of the Super Program/Super A. Can't find an exact list of differences. Not used the Vivitar 28mm yet, might have to read up on it.

I must stop going to WYC though. I can't resist picking up a lens whenever I'm in there.
