Default Selling advice

Ongoing back issues mean I'll likely have to sell my SV650S pointy. I've got no idea really where to start in terms of deciding on a reasonable selling price, where the best place to sell is, and while I know it would be stupid to hand someone the keys for a test ride and watch them ride off, is there a good summary somewhere that anyone has seen for selling bikes in the UK?

I would start by looking at completed auctions on Ebay to see what similar bikes (age, mileage & condition) sold for in your area.

Thanks, I had no idea you could do that on ebay, thought you had to follow live ones to see the results. Will check it out!

I last sold a bike privately through Gumtree - very easy and no fees.

I've always been wary of Gumtree but the one thing I've ever actually bought through it is my SV !
