Yamaha XJ6 quick action throttle? - SV650.org

Greetings everyone

I ended up with a 2010 XJ6 (don't ask, it just happened). Bike's actually alright apart from one thing: the wrist movement to go from 0 to 100% throttle is very big compared to what I'm used to. Combined with the de-tuned IL4 engine makes the acceleration very uninteresting. I bet the bike would feel faster with a quicker throttle tube, which brings me here.

I remember folk used to fit R6 throttle tubes to SV's. Any idea if I could try the same? Or maybe there are other ways to shorten the throttle travel?

FUK me its dyzio... long time.

glue a ring on the bit the cable 'rides' on the extra diameter should give a quicker turn. that is if the throttle housing has room.

Cheers for the tip, I'll give it a go, it looks like there is enough room to try.

One other thing could be to 3d print a new throttle tube with a larger diamater but where could I get the dimensions for the original part (a drawing or something) without taking mine apart?
