Default eBay Madness

Sometimes I just don't get eBay!

The worrying thing is that I'm not sure whether it's the extremely high prices that get me or the extremely low ones that I find crazy. On consideration it's probably some of the unrealistic expectactions people have of what some things are worth.

For example:

i) There's a black K4 with a reserve set for 3950!

ii) I just bought a K1 radiator for a friend for 36 quid.

iii) The same friend just sold a K3 radiator for 185 quid.

I'm not sure which of those events I find the most bizarre!

I do wonder if some folks have a bit of trouble finding out how much things cost new when they stick their stuff on E-bay, unrealistic prices abound.

K1 rads = not exactly ten-a-penny, but a whole lot easier to come by than a K3 rad, that there is a difference in the prices is only to be expected, buying a rad for £36 is a good price though whatever way you look at it.

I guess I've been guilty in the past of both overbidding and also not having a realistic idea of what some things are worth. Then again, you only need one person to buy it at the asking price to make it all worthwhile.
