Default Track Dairy-Donny 9th July

Did the track day yesterday, and belive it or not it didn'nt rain!!!

There were 4 groups, and i was stuck in group 3. What i didn't relise was the noise testing at donnington is 98db

Gr8, cause at brands i was tested at 5000 revs and came in on 98 dbs.

The snag at doonington is that the testing is on track at full revs. An amazing 38 people were busted by the noise police!! It came to a point where F/e threatened to abandon the day!

They did have a guy on site who could, for the princley sum of £25, fit a baffle. Potentially making him aout £1000 for the day!

Apart from that i quiet enjoyed myself. Got thrashed on the str8s.

Had trouble with the blind crest corner (dunno what its called) leads onto back str8, but kept everything on dry land.

are you on a standard pipe on (I assume) your SV? did anyone with standard pipes fail?

at what distance do they measure the noise? 98dB is very quiet - less than a quarter of 105dB - plus measured at probably at least double the revs! MSV do theirs at ~1m from the back of the pipe, as I'm sure you know, do Donington do the same?

I can never understand why Donington is soo strict on noise - there's an *airport* next door ffs!!

Iv'e got M4 race system on mine, so at 12000 revs it is quite loud, !!
If you had a road can you would have been fine.

Not sure where the testers were, I think the back str8, but I was told they were all around......

I can see why u would come off ar mcleans..tough to get right

I don't think its a person, i think they just have devices around the track. Frankley I don't have a clue as to distance or location or the science for it.

all i do know it makes my bike sound gay..(no offense to anyone who's gay!!)
