Fast idle not working - SV650.org

Ive noticed recently my bike struggles to tick over when first started and idles at about 1100 when it used to fast idle at about 1900 and drop to 1400 now it struggles to idle and rises as engine warms. The bike is FI so no manual choke i was just wondering how the fast idle works..is it electronic? I have tried turning idle speed up but once warm it idles at about 2000 if i set it at 1500 cold with the -- on the temp guage.

Try it in reverse--let the engine warm up--set tic-over at 14-1500 as desired. when it has cooled down restart and see if it returns to the 2000rpm fast idle.
Even if you have a fault someplace it is safer to have your normal tic-over speed when running.

Secondary throttle valve servo controls fast idle, check wiring/connections first.
