Default A few from our trip to Alsace, France

Looking for the hotel near Orbey

D417...one of the best roads out there

some roads in the mountains and forests

Not your every day hazard....wild boars crossing the road

Plenty of these lovely long sweeping bends

Loved the setting of this petrol station in a valley

Typical street in the center of Colmar

me

Frank my bro with his R1

bro and my mate Simon with his Bandit

These bastids got into my bruv's lid as he was taking a sharp bend

Finally....some of the damage to my bike after i decided it was time i chucked it down the road

Glad u guys like the pics.....there are a lot of small towns u ride thru and they have cool architecture just like the Colmar old town....some sort of German influence there.
Well i guess i will be planning the trip early next year so i will make sure i let you guys know just in case anyone does wanna join us....be prepared for a very long first day though!
The weather was blue skies all the way but a bit too hot at times....met a couple in an MG that had been touring the area for a few weeks and apparently the week before we went was all heavy rain! Lucky to miss that.

Through history the area has been either French or German, and was still under German rule up to the 1st World war, when France claimed it back (I think that's what I read...)

The best place I've ever visited in the area is a little town called Rouffach, just South of Colmar. See here

Nice pics BTW....
