JIS screwdrivers - SV650.org

Anyone know where to get a set of JIS screwdrivers in the UK?
I want to take the carb apart and rather than cheese up the screws I'd prefer to use the correct tool

I tend to use PH bits in impact driver (carefully!)

Philips screws and screwdrivers are designed to 'cam out' if over torqued, protecting the work but mullering the screw. Using a philips screwdriver to unwind a stiff JIS screw will cheese it up for that reason.

I always worked loosely on the basis that JIS was effectively Phillips with a radius, but reading further like here it's more the other way round, Phillips is JIS with a taper (though Phillips came along a long time ago, way before JIS). It appears that Phillips is actually designed to cam-out (as Tigersaw says), it was done for early machine assembly with no mechanical torque control. JIS (and Pozidrive) have parallel sides and don't cam-out as easily, auto assembly uses torque control.

Having read all that, I use good quality Phillips bits in JIS screws with very few issues usually, the problems get much worse as the bits wear and get more taper on them. Pozidrive doesn't fit at all (they're the ones with the extra notches in the inner corners of the recess, angles are all different and they just don't match Phillips or JIS).
