Anyway I decided to run the Paddock Wood Half this morning as my last long run before London, took it easy, stopped for a wee & after I went over on my ankle stopped again fearing the worse (all ok though) and had a nice chat on the way round, with a few fetchies and to my astonishment crossed the line in 1:39 & 42 seconds...

What happened there? If only I hadn't of stopped twice I'd of got a PB...didn't look at the Garmin the whole way round.

I was supposed to do 12 miles today, but you inspired me to go a bit further and make it a half mara distance

It was really warm, well, much warmer than I'm used to so I decided to go for a run/walk strategy to see if it helped me not overheat. It seemed to work and I did it in a reasonable time (for me). I think I might go for a run/walk strategy on marathon day if it's hot.

I've had a few days off due to work, popped out for 10 miles this afternoon though

I've had a few days off for recovery, did a gentle jog the other night, could feel it a little in my lower left calf/ankle region.
