I have been tinkering again, this time thanks to Bibio.

pipework1 by Jayney, on Flickr

That is a throttle body balance pipe extension. Fiddly to fit and getting the spring clip back on took some fiddling, but I did it. The original cap on the throttle body balance pipe had a hole in it, once these babies were on, there was a subtle difference in running.

So, that was the dirty end, this is the other end.

Thank you Bibio, you are real gentleman.

Hi Mark, they are to make throttle balancing easier due to their ease of access compared to how they usually are. My bike is an old model now and I enjoy working on her so this was a joy to fit and makes the job a little more simple. Talk to Bibio if you would be interested in set,

Thank you for your kind words, my bike is what I would call a work in progress, there are still so many things I want to do to her. If I ever come into money, she will get some shiny new parts to make her an even better SV-Strom!

It was a while ago now and she still looks brand new despite being ridden in all weathers when I can!

I have had custom stickering done so the name badge on the tank looks different to other bikes also the paint on the tank is flawless so I am very happy with that.

I checked the total mileage the other day and was shocked to see that she is about to roll over 24 000 miles, I would guess that she is nicely run in now!

This was the service on my brakes.

YouTube Video

There is a longer version, but the only reason as to why it is longer is because it is full of swearing.

Good work Jayne. I'm not allowed brake fluid in the house anymore.

Nice to see some proper workshop attire too. I'll be doing a service on the RGV as soon as my Dinner Suit comes back from the cleaners

Freshly painted side panels that took a whole lot of work and were painted by hand. They were flatted back between coats and left to dry for twenty four hours between coats too. I use acrylic paint and a fine brush and got a lovely grain effect in the grey back ground and then by mixing silver and violet I got a lovely metallic purple that I was happy with.

Once the paint was all done, the whole lot got flatted down again and then washed to remove all dust and finger prints before a glass coat was added. three light passes and then it was left to dry for twenty for hours before flatting down and repeating. They had about twelve coats in total with acrylic lacquer and the final coat was then left to harden for four days in the warm before being given a coat of wax. The result is so smooth and glassy it looks like it was done in a spray shop. I am most pleased with myself, but it was worth the effort.
