Re: Bar conversion with pics
Actually I got them from M+P... they had lots in stock.
Went for a blast today that included a few miles down the motorway. Sitting that high up in the saddle gave me some major wind blast. So much so, that I did not even have to breath, I just opened my mouth and let the air blow right through me. I can't tell you what it did to my pants though! On a more serious note, the actual difference is amazing. The new bars are great and so comfortable, this has been a confidence boosting experience for me and has improved my riding somewhat too. |

Re: Bar conversion with pics
just bend you elbows more and lean forward, even with higher bars you can still use the old body position
also pm me a postal address and i'll send you the offending purple oil cap I have a standard one already |

I also found that the new riding position tended to bring out the hooligan in me.

Re: Bar conversion with pics
I find that with tyres, I've got some supercorsas on my spare wheels and the only way to get them warm is to be a complete idiot... which I invariably am.
"Hexcuse me Sah... why hexactly did you just loft the front wheel the hen-tire length of the high street?" "Honestly occifer, the tyres made me do it!"

Re: Bar conversion with pics
Having just done this mod myself, i would also like to add, that I used SV1000 extended throttle cables from Banditmania. They are exactly the same fitment (they look different inside the grip housing from the originals, but fit fine). The easiest (not necessarily quickest) way to remove/refit the throttle cables, is take off the airbox and remove the throttle bodies.
