Default Has anyone fitted a CBR600 shock to a curvy?

Just wondering as there is a Maxton shock sat in my shed off a 98 steel frame CBR600.
I wondered if anyone had tried it & what the results were

I've seen some though I've never heard what's involved or how much work it is- it looks like a more or less compatible shape at least if memory serves. I'd ask Maxton- they should be able to see how similiar the parts are and tell you if it's possible to rebuild it to suit. Generally the core parts of a shock are shared across many models.

If you can't make it fit I might well be interested in buying it off you for my 98 steel framed CBR600 trackbike. I already have a Maxton but it needs a rebuild

I'll be honest Lozzo, it's my son's. I was going to steal it off him without him knowing
But if he needs it for his steely then I would have to give it him back

Had a reply back from Maxton today And it reads:-
"It would be quite expensive to modify the CBR unit to suit the SV - probably about £300.00 to £350.00 + V.A.T?
It is quite a different unit.

Best regards

Richard"
Don't think I will bother then
