Help me lose my bike mojo for a few months.....
ok I'm getting fecked off now....can Alpinestar hero invent a patch or something to stop the urge to go out to play.
I've sorn'd one bike, t'other easily fixed with a new reg rec. I could get on the back of Peg..but obviously morally it is wrong. PLLLLLEEEEAAASE, I'm banging my head on the brick wall, and rattling my tin cup on the iron bars of the house...please I'm feeling so miserable, I miss my bikes, it hurts

Five weeks is a drop int ocean. Its been four months already!
And it is that hard when its the only thing you have a license for, and you've never gone more than three weeks

Re: Help me lose my bike mojo for a few months.....
My wife crashed her bike at the end of Aug (and then found out she was pregnant 2 days later ), So she's at least not had a bike to ride (although I've got pretty much all the bits to sort it now) and its been a crap winter so she's not really wanted to. Now its got to the point where even if she wanted to she won't fit! I do know of a woman who rode at 8 months (to get an MOT as she said she figured it would be easier than after the birth), actually here we go: Quote:

Indeed FD, I don't feel comfortable going off with a baby in here. We may only be in the early stages, but the principal is all the same no matter what stage.
I just can't turn the mojo off. I cried and had a bit of a tantrum this morning at Pete. If only my bikes were a bit broken like your wifes, maybe it would turn off a bit.

Re: Help me lose my bike mojo for a few months.....
Hey Dizzy,
I know that it is hard when you want to ride, but can't. I am still to return to my mountain bike properly after some major surgery in 2006. You will get through. Venting frustration on loved ones may get it out of your system, but there may be better ways. Are there other things you can do, ride or drive? Learning to drive is not fun, but may be of use to you if you are able. Otherwise, what about a cheap Quad from E-Bay? If it is just around town, maybe that will give you the mobility you desire with out the discomfort and difficulty of a bike? In truth though, you most likely just need to vent some more and then remember that your baby will be the most beautiful and adorable baby ever and all of the waiting and being careful was worth it. Good luck and drop me a line if you want to chat, rant or make mean comments about silly car drivers. Hugs Jayne xxx |
