My log pile. Winds last week bought down an Ash tree in the lane outside my house, which in turn took the phone lines and a big chunk of hedge..... Farmer gave me the tree as compensation so now have about three years worth of logs! Only down side is my back is now really killing me!

Bypassed the fuel pump on the 1000 last night, and got it running again. Will replace it next weekend, along with a new fuel pump relay.

The farm tractor and forklift sets I enjoyed as a child are still in my parent's loft and I had a wonderful couple of hours up there last time I visited putting one of them back together. Cracking good stuff.

You should take them home and build them up again, they look great sat on a desk or book case.

I just rebuilt my (MOC) six wheel drive truck, the twin axle steering was problematic and failed over rough ground. The latest version has been out climbing over curbs, gravel and very nearly a dog turd!







You can see that one of the rear wheels losing grip and spinning out.


You can just make out one of the differentials, there are three on the model , one for each of the axles.



I also made one of these following a request from a friend, but it made me feel unclean and I took it apart as soon as it was finished. I am not sure that Lego would approve.

Topped up the air in the tyres.

Bad weather's here so don't forget to do the extra checks including your tread and tyre pressure folks.

Changed the front brake pads and chain, sent the sprockets to the wrong house so will be swapping those over on the weekend. Managed to slice into my wrist with a screwdriver which was nice and deep.

New pads have made a massive difference though!

Spent the day overhauling the front brake calipers.
Full strip down, clean, brought the pistons back from the dead, new seals with RRG in all the rubber bits. A most satisfying day.
Took lots of pictures during the process, so will do a bit of a write up.

Sprockets done and had a good clean of the rear end while the back wheel was off. It was bloody filthy!
