What to do (an early weekend thread)
Mrs Metal is away at her sister's for the weekend.
I had planned to just buy lots of booze and sit in my underpants playing ArmA2/Homefront/maybe go buy Deus Ex: HR for three days... but I thought I would ask the almighty org if they had any better or more inspired ideas. (NB: weather forecasts suggests it's going to rain all weekend) |

Re: What to do (an early weekend thread)
Do you have elderly or disabled neighbors? If so, why not go and say hello? Tell them that you have some free time and if they would like a hand with something, you are happy to help. Some of these people can become isolated in their own homes and the chance for a cuppa with a lovely friendly young person gives them a chance to have a chat to another human being. It will give you that warm glow inside from knowing that you have done a good thing. It also gives you a chance to get involved in the local community. I know that there is already a strong chance that you do things like this already, in which case...

Re: What to do (an early weekend thread)
Good suggestions all, thank you!
sv4me: Might play SBK2011 along with the real race and see if I can keep up dp: nobody lives local, but good otherwise. can never have enough curry (already had it twice this week) jayne: I did have neighbours like that (one disabled, one elderly - her son!) but she passed away and so he's moved away to live with his girlfriend (you're never too old for a bit on the side) so they're not there for me to go and chat to any more. I suppose it's pr0n then... oh well. ATM I fancy Trinity Post (the pornstar) |

Jayne, shame on you suggesting he knocks on an elderly neighbours door in his jockey's. Heart attack central!
