Yeah the video mode will affect the battery life, it's published on both drift and go pro website what the modes do to the battery.

It's the same as running more processor and graphics intensive program's on a laptop

Going for the go pro because of the mounts really and more cheap options available.

not sure on difference between 3 and the 3+

Essentially the 3+ is better in low light and has superview.

How ever after the reviews and some in depth youtubing its on its way. Im stalking the postman currently.

Hunt around £65 on ebay with 2 batteries.
