Tell me about it! All that was left of the clamp was a tiny rusted piece where it was welded to the pipe

Just found a Mikalor one on ebay. They seem to be 'flip front' so you dont need to remove the pipes

Don't even bother with the clamp, it won't make any difference now that the exhaust is set in place. Don't damage your wallet.

Explain how this isnt necessary where it is recommended, Is part of the design, and connects two metal tubes together on a machine that flexes through use and helps contain toxic gases before it is released behind the rider?

It is needed, makes the motor run leaner. Replaced both header clamps and it make the bike run better than with two scabby ones

Mine does not have a clamp her either, hasn't been there since I bought it 2 1/2 years ago.

Thanks for the replies guys. So it seems like common consensus that the original Suzuki clamp is made of cheese

Will get a clamp for it as looks like some exhaust time is needed anyway as my slip on is not sealed properly either (when I look down it I can see specs of daylight!) Looks like my local friendly mechanic didn't use any exhaust paste when he fitted it. To be fair it's so loud you wouldn't hear it blowing anyway. Still, what is it they say, 'if you want a job done properly' and all that...
