Opinions - Exhaust Wrap?
Am considering putting exhaust wrap on my K3 sv650, possibly in black. What are people's general opinions on it? And whether you think it'd suit my bike?

CRAP.. don't waste your money. you'll be putting rim tape on next and monster stickers all over it.

Doesn't suit newer shaped bikes IMO

Re: Opinions - Exhaust Wrap?
I would never add exhaust wrap for cosmetic reasons, it looks terrible. As a means of containing/controlling heat fair enough, but on a road bike I wouldn't bother.
I used it to protect my fragile race fairing from burning through and keep heat away from my rear shock on the race bike. |

Re: Opinions - Exhaust Wrap?
I've heard that as well on the TL forum, but in the same way that short journeys in the car rot the back box...it had happened when a lot of short journeys were done, the wrap kept getting wet and the exhaust didn't get hot enough to dry. This is paraphrasing a little and was only what somone had reported...it was a street bike though so I doubt you would see the effect on a track/race bike (I'm assuming that's what Flymo's experience is from?) Unless it's a bit of a rat bike and part or the 'look' then...No
