Kwak, Did you use polishing stuff(pads and compounds) on an electric drill? If so, do the compounds and pads etc come in a kit? Did you take the downpipe off to polish it up like that? My K1 forks are slightly pitted and my downpipe is very discoloured. I'd like to get them back to a state of shine. John |

errr no ejohnh, i dont ride the bike much in this weather so it dont get ****ty really, the polished bits on my bike are just autosol and rags, i have in the past used a dremel with a polishing mop on but i find the best results come with a push pull motion with rags

Re: Cleaning front pipe
I spent an hour and half cleaning it with Autosol and it looked so muc better by the end of it, not yet perfect but much much better.
The only problem was: I then went to get some air in my tyres and when I got back I lent through past the downpipe andmanaged to burn my top onto it!!! So now I have to do it all again next week, any tips for the more stubborn bits Kwak? |

Re: Cleaning front pipe
I thought of that but wasn't too sure whether or not it might have an adverse effect?? Also any ideas on removing my burnt top off of it, I'm just so lucky I was wearing it!
It did serve as a good illustration to the kids that when I say its hot it really is HOT! |
