An evening at Lord's - invitation
Sir Sidney, Earl of Squidly, has rightly pointed out that it's about time I invited you all along to a match again at Lord's.
So here we go: Thursday 15th August Middlesex v Gloucestershire Yorkshire Bank 40 Under floodlights starting at 3.40pm (and will finish about 9.25pm) I will arrange free tickets and a mosey round the Media Centre and Museum for anyone who wants it. If you are biking there is a bay right outside the gate that is free from 6pm. If you are really keen and want to come in before that then I'll see if we can sneak you into the car park (and Mark can park and be golf buggied to the stand as a VIP) If you are on the tube and fancy a drink you are permitted to bring in 4 cans of beer or a bottle of wine/champagne each. Nearest Tube is St John's Wood or a short bus ride from Baker Street. Please add your name to the poll so I can start blagging guest passes from my colleagues.

Re: An evening at Lord's - invitation
I've said I'll be there in the poll. I'll have to come on the bike and would be there around 3. All this would be weather permitting coz I don't want to do 240+ miles wet

Sounds like an awesome opportunity! But as a Scotsman I'd rather eat my own face than watch a cricket match from start to finish so I'll leave it to those more appreciative!

i presume it's a T20 game or maybe a pro 40 one, either way it'll be good fun and most likely a very entertaining game of cricket, even if you don't enjoy the game that much there'll be plenty of chatting about other stuff too (one of the great advantages of going to watch cricket, you don't have to focus 100% of your attention 100% of the time on the game to know what's going on and still enjoy it), plus you'll get to visit the best sports ground there is in the world! what's there not to like?!
