Now I'm in commuting mode my current ave mpg is 63 mpg. That's a mixture of dual carriage and 30 mph roads

My K4 gives 150 tops with a range of riding/roads. Plenty of smiles per gallon.

K8 is twin spark.

The K5 below was a single spark

The twin sparks seem to give lots of extra mpg. mine is a K6, single spark.

When i read the 1st post and saw the word Fuellyi almost died laughing.

I hate to say it but if you move out to the US in the middle of nowhere on long straight roads rather than SE london/Kent, you will have the same great figures.

I looked at all the tiger 800 stats there and wondered why I was getting 34 tot he gallon rather than 55+ till i did a long boring motorway weekend.

It's the bleeding morning commute with 25 traffic light GP starts to worry about

Yes, commuting in London will decimate your mpg figures. I'm averaging just under 45mpg on the Street Triple, which is a huge improvement over the Triumph 1050's (Speed & Tiger) that I had previously.
