Have you thought about a 650 V strom? My wife says it's the most comfortable bike she's been on - and you've still got that glorious engine.

Height is an issue so anything trailie is off the table.

Got to get her hooked then move onto such things I think.

There can't be much difference between heights of the pillion seat on most bikes. A maximum of a few inches. Makes all the difference to the rider because he has to be able to reach the floor, but not so much of an issue to the pillion.

Also with trailie bikes being overall larger in general, the perception of being "high up" is probably reduced as you're more "in" the bike rather than perched on top.

In terms of getting on, do it like a horse - one foot in the stirrup first and watch out for the exhaust. Try one in a showroom and see how she feels.

I have to agree, the pillion seat on these is very comfortable. My lad has one.

I agree with pretty much everything above but it's a perception thing. I'm better to go with something she's comfortable with and then build from there.

Does she like chrome & leather? This could go downhill, you know

(so do their bikes... usually)
