Self amalgamating tape is also excellent for waterproofing, stretch it slightly when wrapping and it actually sticks together. Much used on satellite dishes and cables and any outdoor electrical stuff like CCTV.

Comes in 19mm and 25mm widths, I find the 19mm easier to work with for smaller jobs but it is very flexible anyway.

Couple hours out on bike this afternoon, I could be having a great day anyway but getting on the Tracer just multiplies

Bought a new car this week, sold the old car, with a minimum of hassle

Got my home insurance renewal and it has been hiked up by 16% from last year so I rang them and got a revised cost that is 22% less than last years premium. The only difference is that I took a single item (a ring) off the policy. Result.

My bike insurance renewal came today. Last year, £223; this year £156. No changes to bike or personal circumstances. I don't know how they worked that out but I'm pleasantly surprised.

Did an IAM taster session this morning. Brilliant. Came away from just the taster with things that will change and improve my rides already. I've signed up to do more. Thoroughly recommended to anyone who hasn't done it. Well worth doing the free taster and seeing if you like it.

Also got the SV totally caked in road crap riding in rain and wind. Felt good to do as I'm always too precious about it and need to get over it and not let wet weather put me off riding. Of course I gave it a good spray clean as soon as I got home : )
