Sorry to hear that. I know where you're coming from. I'll probably be in the same situation with my wife in the future.

Oh Lance I'm really sorry to hear this, but it really does sound like you've gone as far and done as much as you can. Hope you get enough time and space to get some of your life back where you want it to be.

Sorry to hear this Bibs but as the others have said you've done right by Mrs Bibs for so long and hopefully she'll be equally as well looked after now.

Wish you both the best Lance.

This is something that happens a lot these days with both parents and spouses, partners, etc.
(or maybe I'm just getting old)
Just remember, this day was always going to come.
Family members can only provide so much care before they are overwhelmed and
most try for too long to keep their loved ones at home when in reality they would
be better off in a full time care facility.
And it's more than OK to get out now and enjoy yourself a bit.
You've earned it.

I looked after my Dad for 5 years (Alzheimer's and cancer) but for the last 2 months he went into a home. I was left to wander around his house/home alone, it felt weird. The days seemed much longer too, there was a sense of: "I should be doing something".

You are going to encounter some strange feelings over the next few weeks so keep checking in because we'd all like to help if we can.
