Valve Clearances
Hi all,
It's time to do the valve clearances in my naked curvy and i was wondering whats the best way to go about it... id rather not take the engine out but im also not great at gynecology... any tricks of the trade?? thanks Chris.B |

Doesn't need engine out, remove tank and radiator[1] and you have plenty of access.
Druid [1] Its an ideal time to change coolant too.

It's a simple job, but one you need to do methodically and with some care. If you've got a manual, the correct tools and some common sense it should go smoothly.
One thing to look out for is stripping the threads in the camshaft covers that the head cover screws into. I did this. Twice. I can explain in a bit more detail should you so wish. |
