Funny things you said as a kid....
Whilst visiting a mate last night his 2yr old said something that got us talking about things we said as kids - quite funny. So I thought it'd make an amusing thread.
I'll start: Yang Yang - chewing gum (when you chew it so long and it gets tough) Bilge - fizzy drink (no idea) Woof woof - dog (unsurprisingly) Edit - just remembered another one. Order redinary - ordinary (couldn't pronounce it right) Last edited by RichT; 11-11-08 at 10:55 AM. |

Re: Funny things you said as a kid....
gave my son a row for asking for a f***ing knife when he was 3.
he was actually saying fork and knife. same son was asked whilst being assessed at nursery if he had any pets and what they were called. he said he had 2 cats called "bloody cats" |

I couldn't say 'post box' properly. It apparently sounded more like 'pis box'

Re: Funny things you said as a kid....
Apparently when I was about 2 I started using the word "grit" for everything - I would even start saying it for absolutely no reason at all - apparently it drove my parents mad as I kept this up for about a year - no idea why?

Never have I been able to say Sandwich properly. Still can't.
Always comes out as Sangwitch and I even spell it that way. Obviously if I try I can say Sandwich and spell it that way but Naturally I always say and spell it wrong.

Re: Funny things you said as a kid....
My sister used to call her best friend 'Nomas' should have been Thomas, and much to my mums annoyance my first words were 'Track Track', as in Tractor.
The best wasn't a mispronouncunation, but when I was about 5 and in the gents in some service station on holiday when I said very loudly: "Dad, why do some men have big willies and some men have small willies?" Didn't stay there long..... |
