Aye, I really want to get across for it next year, I thought about it last year, decided not to, then massively regretted it

Re: North West 200
I think the people of Coleraine, Portrush and Portstewart would object to being told they live in Eire. The NW200 is held in Northern Ireland, not the republic.
I went about 5 years ago and watched Bruce Anstey in his first year there. The racing is fantastic, the locals are wonderful and all told it was the best long weekend I've ever had |

Re: North West 200
Flex - might I recommend you check out the aa route planner before you go?
Like Lozzo says the 200 is in Northern Ireland not Eire. Also if you're staying in Bushmills although it's perfect for travelling over to watch the racing (although leave early) your trip to Dublin for a pint of Guiness would be a 320 mile round trip. Ive been too many times to count given the fact it's less than an hour up the road from me. You will not regret it. Some of the best racing you will ever see. Lozzo Ansteys first year was a classic. He really took the place by storm that weekend. Given the fact noone had heard of him at the start of the day. I'll have moved to England by then but planning on travelling back over for it. It is a week(end) not to miss. Nev. |

Anyone recommend good places to stay etc?

Mmm... Bushmills. Sadly the Jamesons distillery isn't so convenient.

Re: North West 200
Bike racing in the purest sense. I must get over there one day. Is the other competition still running these days? The "Ulster" something or other? Forgive my ignorance.
