Electrical problem - dead bike.
Yesterday when i left work my sv was playing up on me! after twisting my key there was no power what so ever. I checked the kill switch etc but everything seemed okay. Then i decide to just roll it out of the parking space while the key was still in there, and shes alive again I started her up and everything was normal. What could have caused there to be no power initially?
The recent things I have done to here are; Took out the restrictor about 2 weeks ago, fitted a tail tidy a week ago, and I have been riding without the 2 engine bolts for a couple days. Any ideas? |

Re: Weird problem on my SV!
Bike Model and Year?
Could be intermittent dreaded green connector issue. http://forums.sv650.org/showthread.php?t=168184 Sounds like same symptoms.

Re: Weird problem on my SV!
2 engine bolts?
Loose battery wires, green connector, starter relay connections, earth connection to loom and frame.

Re: Weird problem on my SV!
I would suggest that holding the engine to the frame is one of those teensy tiny little things that you should maybe just maybe do properly.
