Default Should I rebuild it or should i break it?

Its very early days at this stage however Im already thinking about what to do with my bike. Basically I need a new front end, forks/wheel/fairing etc and new tank. If the frame is considered ok (will be getting it checked) then everything else is ok. Thing is dont know how much it would cost to rebuild and dont know whether its worth bothering with (k3 worth about ?2200 in top cond anyway).

What would you recommend?

Break it. There's probably something that'll fit my K6 from there, so you can sell something to me.

Actually I`d do the Gixxer front end thing but I wouldnt want to part with mine. You were thinking of changing yours anyway wern`t you Rob? Would you be happy with it after all the work of rebuilding ?

I think it depends on what S/h parts you can get - either an upgrade or from someone who is upgrading.

Years back when I T-Boned me FZR thou into a car (yeah, turning right ) it was a month after the insurance company withdrew my Fully Comp (how did they know?!)......the bike looked (and was!) a complete mess, but I got it back together for around 1k and no one could tell - on insurance it may have been a write off......note prices from circa 15 years ago!........but the bike still is riding around! (nearly bought it back last Xmas!).

It's amazing what is doable, with little cash available!

Pick up a secondhand tank off ebay or get yours repaired (if possible), whack a GSXR front end in there as long as the frame is straight (otherwise break it), and fairing wise you can replace or turn it into a naked? Best thing to do is price everything up first before buying anything, you don't want to waste money on starting a repair only to find out it isn't going to be cost efficient.
