Default Emmy The Great... Singer/songwriter thread

I must be going soft, my new favourite album doesn't have any double kick drum. No screaming at all. And no gratuitous use of the word f***. But it's really, really good... Anyone else picked this up?

Warning: link contains gratuitous acoustic guitar

I really like it... Anyone recommend anything similiar? it's not a sort of music I know anything about, just been lured into it by Frank Turner and Get Cape Wear Cape Fly and Chris TT lately.

I met Hayseed Dixie. They were so funny. The amount of booze they drunk on stage was ridiculous!!!

Hey Northwind take a look at an artist called Karima Francis. Absolutely incredible voice!!

Can't get onto you tube at work, but sounds intruging.

If you like acoustic guitar, then have a look for Nick Drake, well worth a listen, bit hard to get into but give it a chance.

I only know 'one of these things first'. It's from the Garden State soundtrack and i love it.

Emmy isn't my cuppa tea, but it's better than 90% of the stuff out there atm. Frank turners quite good though. Hayseed dixie = ace.

There's some dude who sings death metal songs in a wierd style, plays piano with it. Cant remember his name but that's pretty funny.
