Back Protectors & armour
The pockets that hold the knee armour in my leathers have split so I was looking for an alternative and searching for the Forcefield limb tubes.
If anyone is shopping for protection, this place had them at a great price and there are also some good deals on back and knee protectors. http://www.snowandrock.com/body-armo...-category/list |

Re: Back Protectors & armour
Word of caution, I once picked up a bargain Dainese back protector - a snow board one - 20 quid from TK Max.
Looked the nuts, felt great when standing up. Fitted like **** on the bike, they must be more rigid than a bike one. It was horrendous when anything but sat bolt upright. Hopefully if you have bought these they are not the same. Fingers crossed. Mine ended it's life as landfill.

Hmm ta for cautionary tale, I dont like spending (read tight git) so will only ever try before i buy even more so on safety gear. I do like the knee and elbow tube idea though.

Re: Back Protectors & armour
The Dianese back protector on there looks to be aimed at skiing but the Forcefield Carve says comfortable for riding in the description and the sport lite is sold in bike shops.) I agree though if in doubt try it on
Geodude ....I'm happy with the knee tubes. They come with an armour insert and it takes a couple of goes playing around with position and strap tightness but after that they are on and don't move around like the loose inserts in the knee pockets of my leathers. Great on the bike, comfortable although it feels a little weird walking round with them on. It's hard armour but does seem to soften up with body heat. Tho old armour from my knees I'm now using in the hip pockets so that's not wasted. Bike shops are selling these at 50-60 quid so £24 is a good price ...I'm a tight git too. |
